THREE FAMILLE ROSE BOWLS
LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The interior of the first bowl is decorated with a coiled phoenix, and with further phoenixes on the exterior, with a Guangxu six-character mark in iron-red on the base. The second bowl decorated with blossoming peonies on the exterior and butterflies on the interior, with an apocryphal Qianlong six-character seal mark in underglaze blue on the base. The third bowl is decorated on the exterior with the characters wan shou wu jiang (‘Long life without end’) interspersed by beribboned wan symbols. The interior is decorated with a shou character encircled by five bats, and there is a Guangxu six-character mark in iron-red on the base.
7 3/8, 7 1/8, and 7 5/8 in. (18.7, 18.1, and 19.4 cm.) diam.
