The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The gui-shaped censer:
-minor nicks and scratches overall
-very minor stress crack to the foot rim
-wear to some of the archaistic scrollwork on the body
-the interior is partially covered with a residue that is adhered to the bronze, possibly lacquer or incense residue
The tripod censer:
-minor nicks and scratches overall
-some gilding remaining on and near the feet
-very minor stress crack running along approximately a quarter of the mouth rim
