We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture. The gui-shaped censer: -minor nicks and scratches overall -very minor stress crack to the foot rim -wear to some of the archaistic scrollwork on the body -the interior is partially covered with a residue that is adhered to the bronze, possibly lacquer or incense residue The tripod censer: -minor nicks and scratches overall -some gilding remaining on and near the feet -very minor stress crack running along approximately a quarter of the mouth rim
