TWO PAINTED ENAMEL BOWLS AND A PAINTED ENAMEL DISH
19TH-20TH CENTURY
The first bowl is decorated on the exterior with floral scroll between bands of ruyi below and scrolling vine above. The second bowl is decorated on the exterior with daisies, hibiscus flowers, and insects against a yellow ground, and with the Three Abundances in the interior. The dish is decorated with a shou character surrounded by three mythical beasts amid scrolling vine, with cartouches with foliate scrollwork against a diaper-pattern ground on the interior of the shallow sides. There is a Yusu Caoang ('The Thatched Hut of Plain Jade') seal mark on the base.
4 ¾, 5 1/8 and 8 3/8 in. (12.1, 13 and 21.2 cm.) diam.
