The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this pieces acquired after its initial manufacture.
In order of cataloging:
The first bowl:
- one restored chip with associated overpainting, and a few small chips
- hairline crack extending down from the mouth rim
- scratching and expected surface wear
The second bowl:
- chip on the mouth rim
The third dish:
- one chip and several nicks on the mouth rim
- extensive crackle in the glaze
The fourth dish:
- hairline crack extending from the mouth rim down to the well
