TWO SMALL LONGQUAN CELADON DISHES AND TWO SMALL SHALLOW BOWLS
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The two dishes are of circular form with flaring sides and lipped rims. The shallow bowls are decorated with ribbed sides divided by a bow-string band. Together with a Longquan celadon dish, Song dynasty, covered overall with a crackled, greyish-green glaze except the unglazed foot rim burnt orange in the firing.
Dishes 5 3/8 and 5 in. (13.7 and 12.8 cm.) diam., shallow bowls 4 3/8 and 4 1/4 in. (11.1 and 10.8 cm. ) diam., Song dish 6 1/4 in. (15.9 cm.) diam.
