An exceptionally rare example of the Tiffany & Co. double signed reference 1675 in gold, the present watch is distinguished by its excellent and original overall condition. The magical signature of “Tiffany & Co.” is printed in gold just above the GMT-Master designation.

Just a handful of GMT-Masters, all references, all materials but particularly in gold, retailed by Tiffany & Co. have appeared on the market over the past decade. The present watch is both attractive and wearable, sure to impress even the most demanding of collectors. The dial and bezel combination is gorgeous, combined with the gold case and Tiffany & Co. signature it is a watch with stunning looks and extreme rarity amongst GMT-Master variations. Fewer than 5 examples of the reference 1675 in gold with a brown dial and retailed by Tiffany & Co. are known publicly. The bezel has faded to a most attractive purple-bronze colour which further enhances the appeal of this highly appealing super-rare vintage GMT-Master.

Reference 1675
Following the success of the original GMT-Master reference 6542 in 1954, Rolex introduced reference 1675 only five years later which stayed in production until 1980. The yellow gold version of reference 1675 originally came without crown guards, which were only introduced in 1967 on the yellow gold version to match their stainless steel counterparts. Upon its introduction, the reference was available in 18K gold or stainless steel. As of the early 1970s, Rolex also produced versions in steel and gold, a metal combination the company advertises as "Rolesor".

Since their beginnings in 1905, Rolex watches have been sold by the world's most exclusive jewellers and retailers, including Tiffany & Co, Serpico y Laino and Joyeria Riviera, whose respective names are proudly emblazoned on the dials. Among these ‘double-signed’ Rolex watches, however, the most coveted are those distributed by the famous House of Tiffany.
