These desk set is highly decorative and in good overall order. The ormolu with some tarnish and light surface wear throughout. The inkwell is slightly different in design from the other pieces, and could be associated rather than made by the same hand as the other pieces. The inkwell with ink stains to the interior of the central compartment, as to be expected. One malachite cabochon to the reverse of the base with a painted replacement. The writing page with possible constructional seam to the right side of the inset malachite oval to the front. The interior and reverse later lined in orange fabric, which is worn in areas and stained, and is no longer properly affixed to the reverse. The pen rest lacking its base and with ink stains to the interior. The letter holder with some wear and fraying to the lined interior. The underside with purple leather lining, possibly original. Ready to place.
