This decorative cabinet is in overall very good conndition. Overall with some surface marks and scratches, consistent with age and handling. There is some separation to the joins and resulting shrinkage to the veneers, as to be expected. This is particuarly visible to the top which has a horizontal crack approximately 14 in. long. The ormolu with its original gilding, which is rubbed to the highpoints and with some areas of tarnish. The pietre dure with a few minor restored breaks, small chips to edges, and small replacements, but very much complete and attractive in appearance. The sides of the base with a fe small chips to the veneer. There is a small section of brass banding lacking to the right base edge. The reverse inscribed W132 in white chalk. There is one key. Structurally secure and ready to place.
