These vases and covers present very well overall. Overall with some light surface wear to the decoration and primarily to the gilding, as to be expected. There are a few faint hairline cracks, largely only visible against the white ground, and most of which appear to be in the making. One cover with a restored break to the border edge, approximately 61⁄4 in. long; the inside of the flange with a few shallow chipped losses. The other cover with the tail to lion-dog finial lacking. The top rim to the body of each vase with a few 'nibbled' chips. Ready to place.
