This pair of cabinets is in overall very good decorative order.
The black marble tops with some minor 'nibbled' and shallow chips to the edges. One top with a large chip to one corner.
Overall with some surface marks and scraches, consistent with age and use.
The ormolu with some tarnish and localised areas of verdigris, such as to the top left side of one cabinet and to the top of the left Bacchic herm figure to the other. The ormolu would benefit from cleaning.
The veneers to the doors with some vertical shrinkage cracks, as to be expected with age. The shrinkage visible to the reverse of each door with signs of repairs to secure the movement. One door with a small spliced repair to the to edge of the interior.
The mounted hardstone with a minor nicks to the edges. Several small leaves to the cherry branches on both cabinets lacking (two to one cabinet, one to the other). With a few further restorations and replacements to the pietre dure, but not immediately noticeable.
