Clapton at Hurtwood Edge, each handwritten in Kanji script in black brush pen and 'translated' in black ballpoint pen, the first postmarked Fukuoka, Japan, 1 December 1979, from the Nishitetsu Grand Hotel, reading That should say "Clapton, Nelly and Eric". I haven't learnt how to write "I love you" yet, but I'll wring it out of them one way or another - all my love - El xxx, the second postmarked Osaka, Japan, 2 December 1979, from The Plaza hotel, reading (See! I told you I'd do it), "I love You - Eric), I think I'll get a smaller pen, the third similarly postmarked, reading (Eric loves Nelly) xxxxx
