Lot Essay

Pattie Boyd: George, Ronnie and Krissy Wood, with Ravi Shankar's nephew Kumar, and Joss Stick, our Siamese cat, at Friar Park in the early morning. We had been up all night and were still going strong.

That whole period was insane. Our lives were fuelled by alcohol and cocaine, and so it was with everyone who came into our sphere. Friar Park was a madhouse... Ronnie and Krissy Wood would arrive, she with a basket that contained beautiful clothes; Eric was pursuing me... We were all as drunk, stoned, and single-minded as the other. Nobody seemed to have appointments, deadlines, or anything pressing in their lives, no structure or responsibilities.
