Details

The exterior of the leaf-shaped cover is carved with a band of flowers encircling the small round finial. The unglazed biscuit body of the interior is moulded to the centre with a pair of fish.
9 in. (23.1 cm.) diam.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-There is minor expected surface wear visible particularly to the finial.
-The undulating portion of the rim has been slightly polished, the largest measuring approx. 2.5 cm.
-There are two polished areas to the interior of the cover, measuring approx. 2.2 cm. and 2 cm. respectively.
