The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Cover:
-There is white encrustation to the interior
-There is wear and scratches to the rim, and some shallow indentations
Pot:
-The handle has been off and reattached
-There are areas of encrustation to the interior
All:
-There is characteristic pitting to the enamel, which is original to manufacture
-There are minor enamel losses
-There is wear to the gilding, including the finial of the cover, the handle and spout, and the base
