Details
The centre of the interior of one dish is painted with a bouquet of lotus flowers, leaves, a seed-pod, and aquatic plants tied with a bowed ribbon. Three detached clusters of lotus-flowers are depicted in the cavetto and on the exterior. The other dish is decorated with a lotus flower flanked by other floral sprays in the centre. The reverse is encircled by a composite scrolling band of four lotus blossoms and their buds. Both dishes are inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua mark on the base.
