The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
‘Lotus bouquet’ dish:
-There are two buffed kiln grits to the interior, measuring approx. 0.7 and 0.4 cm. respectively.
-There is a kiln flaw between the ‘cheng’ and ‘zhi’ characters, measuring approx. 0.5 cm. long, which is original to manufacture.
‘Lotus’ dish:
-There are two chips to the mouth rim, one measures approx. 1.8 cm. and the other measures approx. 1.5 cm. wide.
-In good overall condition with expected wear to the enamels and surface scratches.
