The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Cover:
-The finial has been off and reattached.
-There are two burst bubbles to the mouth rim, measuring approx. 1.7 cm. and 0.2 cm respectively, which are original to manufacture.
-There are characters written with pen on the rims inside the cover.
-There is some expected wear to the gilding particularly to the mouth rim.
-There is some glaze pull to the interior of the cover, which is original to manufacture.

-Otherwise in good overall condition.
Jar:
-There are expected wear and burst bubbles to the mouth rim, the largest measuring approx. 2.5 cm. wide.
-There are a few glaze cracks extending to the foot, most have been stabilised.
-There is somewear to the gilding and the enamel decoration.
