Compare to a similarly decorated lacquer lian box in the Hammonds Foundation, on loan to Museum für Lackkunst, Munster, included in Margarete Prüch, “A Han Dynasty Lacquer Box from the Hammonds Foundation”, Orientations, May 2008, p.47, fig.1. Compare also a large lacquer lian box also with silver mounting in the Yangzhou museum.
