The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- Both have some wear to the tips of the moulded mouth rim
- Both are suffused with glaze lines, which are mostly associated with manufacture
Moulded dish:
- There is a firing crack to the centre of the dish, which is original to manufacture
Biscuit reserve-decorated dish:
- There are a few surface flakes to the biscuit roundel on the interior
- There is a chip to the foot rim measuring approx. 1.5 cm. wide with an associated glaze line on the exterior, and another polished chip to the foot rim measuring approx.. 0.4 cm. wide; the foot rim has been polished
- There are two minute glaze nicks above the foot on the exterior
- There are a few surface chips to the base, which are associated with manufacture
