POSSIBLY LATE WARRING STATES PERIOD TO SONG DYNASTY

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Larger mirror:
- There is a large U-shaped break that has been restored
- There is dark reddish-brown encrustation on both sides, and the expected minor nibbles along the edges

Smaller mirror:
- As can be seen in the illustration, there are expected few small nicks to the edges
- There are some losses to either side of the knob, which may be associated with casting
- There is light malachite encrustation on the decorated side and the expected light abrasion to the reflective side
