Vibeke, the famous model who worked with many photographers like Helmut Newton, Irving Penn and Richard Avedon for Vogue and other fashion magazines, was close to both Helmut and June Newton. Newton and Vibeke worked together on several occasions, notably on rue Aubriot in 1975 in Paris where he captured Vibeke in an Yves Saint Laurent suit. This famous picture, named after the street, appeared in Vogue. That same year, Newton photographed Vibeke in her own apartment rue du Général-Appert, in Paris’ 16th arrondissement, as she posed with her mechanical bear. The photographer personally gifted her this chromogenic print and the four preparatory Polaroids after the session.

Après leur séance de shooting, le photographe lui offre personnellement ce tirage chromogénique et ces quatre Polaroids préparatoires.
