The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Minor surface dirt and scuffs in places. At the upper centre, a hole has been drilled for hanging, with very tiny associated loss to the engobe. Evidence of cosmetic repainting and restoration. A few small chips and losses to the engobe, predominantly at the rim, most repainted and restored. An inconsistency to the surface at the upper right rim, presumably from the time of execution. Examined under ultra-violet light, there is evidence of restoration to a diagonal crack across the diameter of the plate, and a few possible further restorations in places.
