The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips or cracks detected. Very minor scuffing to the high points of glaze. The reverse with three foot marks with associated inconsistencies to the glaze, inherent to the artist's technique. Traces of pencil to one of the footmarks, numbers '3 5', other number indistinct. An area of slight discoloration to the glaze at the upper centre of the rim, possibly the result of a previous restoration. Examined under ultra-violet light: Fluorescence to the aforementioned area. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
