Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
No chips or cracks detected. Two fine lines of surface scuff on the right of the face. The handle soundly attached. Examined under ultra-violet light. There is evidence of very skillful restoration to three chips in the glaze: one at the top of the upper joint of the handle; one on the centre left edge of the handle; and one on the tip of the spout, not visible to the naked eye. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
