The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No cracks or restorations detected. Some surface dirt. Some crazing, predominantly to the cheeks, consistent with the artist's technique. The reverse with two old paper labels, adhesive tape and further small vestiges of adhesive. Three small areas of abrasion, possibly related to a previous hanging system. A very small chip to the foot rim beneath the glaze, presumably from the time of execution. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
