The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips, cracks or restorations detected. Some pitting to the glaze, predominantly to the rim, from the time of firing. Some scattered surface scratches to the black oxide. The underside with two small footmarks, and one small area of inconsistency to the glaze, from the time of firing. Three small adhesive labels and the remnants of an old adhesive. The footrim with some scuff marks. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally excellent condition.
