Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
No chips or restorations detected. The interior of the rim with one or two tiny nicks to the glaze in places. Two fine firing cracks to the lower centre. Crazing to the engobe and to the glaze in places from the time of firing. Mild surface dirt throughout. The underside with a fine firing crack measuring approximately 8 cm. to the lower left area. The underside with three footmarks, from the time of firing, and remnants of an old adhesive label. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
