Vase au décor pastel (A.R. 190)

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips, cracks or restorations detected. Inconsistencies to the surface of the terracotta, inherent to the medium. Some movement of the medium in places, most notably to the blue pastel surrounding one of the faces, possibly from the time of execution. Some surface dirt throughout. Examined under ultra-violet light: Some evidence of surface dirt fluoresces. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the present work appears to be in generally very good condition.
