The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips or cracks detected. Some white residue from the time of creation in the left half of the face, and a couple of small stains at the lower centre. A very short surface scratch towards the centre left rim. A couple of small spots of surface dirt in places. The reverse with four footmarks and associated surface scuffs as a result of the artist's firing technique and kiln apparatus. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the present work appears to be in generally good condition.
