The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
No chips, cracks or restorations detected. Two very fine lines of stable hairline crazing; one in the bull, one in the horse, most likely from the time of firing. A few very small losses to the engobe in places. Fritting to the rim. The underneath with three footmarks to the footrim and associated losses to the glaze, consistent with the removal of kiln furniture. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the present work appears to be in generally very good condition.
