The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
No chips detected. A line of very skilful restoration stemming from the rim of the plate towards the bird's head, possibly to an old hairline crack. Some spots of displaced white pigment to the black engobe, from the time of execution. A few short insignificant scuffs to the black towards the edges. The reverse with three footmarks and associated tiny losses to the glaze.
