The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips or cracks detected. The rim with two very small spots of possible cosmetic retouching and some light fritting in places. Three small losses to the black engobe in the upper fins and mouth, and two tiny nicks in the tail and the lower fin. Fine network of crazing to the glaze, inherent to the medium. The underneath with three footmarks from the time of firing, two with an associated tiny loss to the glaze. The footrim with some fritting to the glaze. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
