The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips or cracks detected. There is evidence of a small area of restoration to the right tip of the tail. A couple of minute losses to the engobe; one above the face and one to the edge of the base, with further more minor instances elsewhere in the black engobe. A few areas of the artist's pentimenti in places, from the time of execution. Some white studio stains in places. The underneath with minor wear. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the present work appears to be in generally very good condition.
