The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips or cracks detected. The reverse of the rim with evidence of small spots of cosmetic retouching at the lower right and centre left. One or two stray spots of coloured glaze, from the time of firing. Minor rubbing to the rim, with one or two tiny nicks. The underside with three footmarks, from the time of firing. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
