The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No chips, cracks or restorations detected. The black glaze is slightly inconsistent in tone, visible in the catalogue illustration and original to the potter's method. The rim with a few tiny nicks to the glaze. Fine crazing to the glaze in places, in particular to the orange cheeks and the underside. Some minor rubbing and light surface scratches to the glaze in places. The underside with five footmarks, from the time of firing. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
