The brightly colored Visage plates, when hung as a group, form an excellent statement surrounding Picasso’s articulation of this motif in its many guises. Collectors around the world covet the full set, of which lots 5 and 74 are some of the rarest, coming from small editions of 150.

No cracks or restorations detected. Three minor chips to the glaze to the extreme edge, upper and center left. Light crazing to the glaze of the underside and three footmarks to the underside, from the time of firing. Remnants of an old adhesive label on the underside. A well-kept and early example from this small edition.
