The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The rim with some evidence of retouching in the black engobe. A very fine hairline crack at the upper right of the rim. Fine crazing to the glaze in the yellow spot on the left cheek, from the time of firing. A few tiny imperfections to the green and black engobe, in places, from the time of firing. The surface is slightly uneven with evidence of some rubbing and imperfections in places. The underside of the rim with two footmarks, from the time of firing. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
