Lot Essay

Leon Dabo (1864–1960) was a French-born American landscape painter who was acquaintances with influential artists of his era including Marc Chagall, George Bernard Shaw and Coburn. Dabo was primarily known for his paintings of scenes in the Hudson Valley, New York.
