The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachment are in generally good condition. The outer stretcherbeams are lined with canvas on which the burlap is stapled. There are vertical stretcher marks visible in the centre of the work. There is some soft surface soiling. It is our opinion that the work is in very good condition.
