The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachment are in generally good condition. The work is discoloured. There is paper tape along the turnover edges. There are surface irregularities in places, coherent with the artist's working method. Examination under ultra violet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
