The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged on the reverse to its underlying support. There is bumping to the upper right corner. There are creases in places, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method and intention. There are a few pinpoint accretions in places. There are a few drying cracks to the thicker impasto passages, predominantly to the lower section. There is a faint spot of discolouration to the lower right corner. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
