The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition and all elements appear to be present and adhere well to their underlying support. There is minor rubbing in places to the extreme edges. There is minor lifting to the collage elements to the lower right quadrant. There is slight undulation to the collage elements to the figure's neck. There are two superficial hairline abrasions to the lower right vertical edge, the largest measuring approximately 1.5in. in length. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
