The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There are a few faint creases in places, only visible under strong raking light and presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There is some faint rubbing in places, most notably to the extreme edges and to the right of the blue passage. There are a few faint handling marks in places. There is a pinpoint paint loss to the centre-right of the pink passage. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
