The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged in places on the reverse to its underlying support. The edges of the sheet are deckled. The sheet undulates slightly. There are a few faint handling creases to the lower left corner, only visible under strong raking light. The historic hinges have left a faint impression to the upper corners, only visible under strong raking light. There is slight discolouration to the extreme edges of the sheet. There is a pinpoint accretion to the upper right quadrant. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
