拍品的状况可能存在极大差异，而由于其性质使然，拍品难以处于完美无瑕的状态。拍品均以拍卖时的状况出售。

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor canvas draw to the upper corners and lower left corner. There is some minor rubbing to the corners and in places to the extreme edges and a few pinpoint accretions in places, predominantly to the extreme edges. There are hairline drying cracks in places, the most visible being along the left vertical edge. There are a few pinpoint paint losses to the extreme edges, to the centre of the upper left quadrant and near the upper left vertical edge. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching, subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
