The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is faint rubbing to the corners. There is a minute hairline abrasion to the upper left horizontal edge, measuring approximately 0.7cm. in length. There is a pinpoint accretion to the upper horizontal edge and a soft bubble wrap impression to the lower right quadrant, only visible under strong raking light. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
