The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound and all elements adhere well to their underlying support. There are artist's staple marks and minute paint losses to the extreme edges of the wood element. There is minor rubbing to the extreme corners of the canvas element. There are a few pinpoint accretions to the upper left quadrant of the wood element and two to the upper left quadrant of the canvas element. There is a minute puncture to the upper left quadrant of the canvas element, only visible on close inspection. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
