The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor rubbing to the lower left corner. There are a few pinpoint accretions in places, predominantly to the upper left quadrant. There is a pinpoint accretion to the centre lower edge. There is a superficial abrasion to the lower left vertical edge, measuring approximately 2.5in. in length. There is a minute loss to the extreme right vertical edge. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
