The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound. There are some surface irregularities in places, in keeping with the artist's working method. There is minor rubbing to the corners and lower horizontal edge. There is a soft crease to the lower right corner. There are a few minute accretions and minute losses to the extreme upper left vertical edge. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
