拍品的状况可能存在极大差异，而由于其性质使然，拍品难以处于完美无瑕的状态。拍品均以拍卖时的状况出售。

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor rubbing to the extreme corners and lower horizontal edge. There are a few minute drying cracks in places, most notably to the white passages. There are pinpoint losses to the impasto peaks in places to the centre and one minor loss to the extreme lower right vertical edge. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
