The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The canvas is held with staples in places along the edges to its underlying support. The edges are uneven and the canvas undulates slightly. There is a pinpoint accretion to the upper right horizontal edge. There are a few media splashes to the lower left corner, presumably in keeping studio related. There are three minute abrasions with associated pinpoint paint losses to the blue passage, only visible on close inspection. There is a hairline drying crack to the upper right quadrant, measuring approximately 1.5cm. in length, only visible under strong raking light. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
